

Barrett Building
The Barrett Building was designed and built by architect F.P. Allen in1882. One of just 3 architects listed for Washington Territory in the 1882 California Architect publication, Allen's elegant brick structure housed the historic Barrett Shoe Store run by J.S. Barrett in the early 1900s. The rest of the structure homed various businesses and offices including William Stine's bookstore and post office. ​
Today, the Barrett Building spans the north side of East Main between South First Avenue and South Second Avenue. It has been charmingly restored to home shops, tasting rooms and restaurants including Walla Walla Pasta Factory, Bright's Candies and 35th+Butter boutique.
